We started our Bark Buster journey in 2008 with our first dog, Maddoxx and have since become trainers for the Ottawa-Gatineau region. With backgrounds in the insurance industry, we honed our skills in risk management and finding solutions and found that they translated well to the world of dog training. We currently have Marrue, a 13-year-old Chow-Chow, and Mia, a sweet 3-year-old hound rescue.

There's something truly magical about witnessing that "aha!" moment in a pup's eyes and the sheer delight on their owner's face as they finally communicate in harmony. When our clients exclaim, "Wow, my dog actually understands me!" we know it's about more than just having a well-behaved pooch – it's about nurturing a genuine bond. We're absolutely smitten with the heartwarming connections that develop between dogs and their humans and feel honoured to have a hand in fortifying those relationships. The wagging tails and beaming faces we encounter every day are the cherry on top!
Why we became trainers
During the COVID-19 crisis, it's no secret that the world had to take a step back and rethink what truly matters. Frankly, we just couldn't stomach yet another 9am to 5pm on Zoom. That's when our canine companions really stepped up their game, keeping our lives anchored during those turbulent times. It's crystal clear how much-unbridled joy these dogs bring to our lives. And if we, as Bark Busters trainers, can help other dog parents find that sweet spot, then, by all means, we're all in!
