Dog Training in London, Ontario
I have been a Bark Buster Trainer since 2016 and in that time have helped over 1000 dogs and their owners find a happier way of life. Before Bark Busters, I was a neonatal intensive care unit nurse for over 30 years. I learned that along with helping people, what I really enjoyed was teaching. I coached new nurses coming into our unit and had lots of experience teaching parents how to care for their precious new babies.

What I love about my job
It’s a joy to see that look of hope and excitement on the faces of my clients. It’s the same look I am sure that I had in my first lesson. Helping people understand why they are having difficulties with their dogs and teaching them how to communicate in a whole new way is so rewarding. I also love watching the dogs become calmer and happier when they truly understand what their humans want. This makes my day!
Why I became a trainer
I honestly thought in my very first lesson as a Bark Buster client that I would love to do this job. I saw the potential to combine my love of teaching with my love for dogs. I know this system works because I worked so well for my dachshunds – one of which has a major health condition made worse by excessive barking. Dogs with his condition are said to have an expected lifespan of 2 years. I am so proud that he will soon be 16 years old!
My areas of expertise include:
- Puppy training
- Separation anxiety in dogs
- Stopping excessive barking
- Dog aggression and aggression toward humans
- Leash training, including leash pulling
- Stopping dogs from jumping on people
- Food aggression in dogs and resource guarding
- Reactive dog training
- General obedience training
- And more...
