The good news is he hasn't soiled in the house for over four days and has learned to let us know by going to the door that he needs out. We were almost ready to give up on Cookie and were desperate. We tried Treat Based training but found that it wasn't getting us the results quickly enough. I have truly enjoyed working with Tara. I found all her suggestions, right down to looking at Indy's feed program to improve her general health to be great. Our dog was suffering from a rather sever case of seperation anxiety where he would destroy anthing in the house he could if we left him uncrated and would physically hurt himself if he was crated. We tried different ways of conditioning him, but it didn't really help. We spoke to various people (trainers and vets) and they basically said to try the methods which we were already doing. The vet suggested medicating him, which we didn't want to do. In the few hours Tara was at our home to help us there was a change in him. He would stay in his crate with the door open and not freak out and we were able to leave for a short time (30 mins or so) with him crated. We continued to work with the methods she showed us for a few weeks and it slowly, but continously improved. Within 6 weeks or so, using the methods Tara showed us ..., we were able to leave our puppy home in his crate without a problem. He even lays in it all the time now...which he would never do before. This was by far the best money I have spent on my dog! My dog went from an aggressive, dominant, out of control dog to a perfectly behaved, submissive dog! I took him to a cottage 2 weeks ago that had 2 other dogs and 6 kids in a confined space . . . my dog sat by my side the entire weekend and did not so much as bark. He came immediately when called and didn't so much as batt an eyelash at the other dogs or children (even when they were climbing on him). I am very completely satisfied with the level of training my wife, my daughter and I received from Tara last week. Our two dogs (Buddy and Jada) have been unbelievably well behaved since the training.

My grand-son, (4 yrs old) was terrified to be in the same room as the dogs, because they constantly jumped up on him (friendly jumping) We have removed the gates in the family room and the dogs now have the run of the entire main level of the house and they now follow my grand-son around the house and he has fun having them chase after him. He is not afraid of them anymore.

Their constant barking and running to the front door when the doorbell rings has stopped and while we had the gates up before to prevent them from running to the front door, they simply sit or stand and look towards the door when a visitor/guest arrives and wait for the visitor/guest to acknowledge their presence and invite them to come before they do so.

The incessant barking in the back yard when the neighbours dogs are out has since stopped our dogs do not bark anymore, while the neighbours dogs continue to do so. (possibly a new client)

Thank you Bark Busters and Tara for doing such a wonderful job for our family. It gives me great joy to see my grand-son having fun with the dogs and not be terrified of them anymore.

We signed up with Bark Busters after getting a rave review about its services and reading other comments on its web site. We weren't sure we'd see much improvement in our puppy who was suffering from separation anxiety, but we thought we'd give it a shot. After just one session the results were immediate! Tara was fantastic and showed us how to communicate with him in a way he'd understand. Not only was our puppy suffering from separation anxiety, but he also wasn't listening to us and was really having a hard time in the housebreaking department. We definitely have a new dog!!! Her biggest problem was barking inside and out, and this problem has been reduced tremendously. She now comes to us when called; before she would only come when she felt like it. I was very upset and discouraged before I found out about Bark Busters but now I am so happy with her. My only regret is that I spent $250 and 12 weeks taking her to puppy school last year with minimal results; when I asked them about the barking, the methods they told me about didn't work.
