Hello my name is Jennifer and I am the Bark Buster for the Montréal West Island / Laval area.

The magic of Bark Busters is that we can work with ANY dog of ANY age, and correct ANY problem. This is done in your home, where the problems occur so you end up getting much more out of your relationship with your dog.

I have been fascinated by and attracted to dogs all my life. My family had a wonderful dog when I was a teen, and in the past few years I have had a few dogs of my own (some of which could have really benefited from Bark Busters). I now have three dogs who have been “busted” and I would have never thought that I could get sooooo much more pleasure and enjoyment out of my dogs than I was already getting. My dogs were already quite good but my kids and I had learned to put up with and work around some frustrating issues that we couldn’t seem to get on top of with traditional dog training. My dogs behaved wonderfully at dog school; however the problems were at home!

My six-year-old Golden/Lab cross (Bonco) was making it very embarrassing to have people over. He would bark at the door, get really excited and jump on guests, and we thought all we could do was confine him to the yard or the basement when people would visit. Now, he and my two other dogs just sit patiently when people come to the house, and go to them calmly when I as their pack leader give them permission to. It’s amazing how many people deal with similar problems thinking there is no way around it. The GREAT news is that there is -- it’s Bark Busters!!!!!

Jennifer has long been active with the MIRA Foundation, which provides companion dogs to people with disabilities. These dogs undergo a very lengthy multi-stage training and acclimitization process. The first step in the process is learning to be comfortable in all human environments and it is this step which involves fostering the dog for a lengthy period, which Jennifer volunteers for.
