I thoroughly enjoyed my training with Lisa and and thrilled at the results, Molly is like a new dog and certainly more relaxed. - Janet F. - May 2010

I am extremely impressed with the Bark Busters System and my therapist, Lisa Marshall. My family adopted an 8 month old dog from Toronto Animal Services who was rescued from a dog hoarder - a person who had 48 dogs enclosed in a house. Daisy was not house broken with severe separation anxiety. Having raised 2 dogs from puppies, I thought I was up for the challenge, but was at my wits end after 2 weeks with no improvement. I called Lisa; she arranged a meeting the next day and introduced me to the system. Lisa was thorough with great communication and interpersonal skills. I was amazed with the results we achieved after one meeting. Daisy is still having the occasional accident in the house, but I understand why it happened and what I need to do to fix it. I definitely have more to learn and will be calling on Lisa as I work through Daisy's behavioral issues. It was a worthwhile investment in the sweetest dog that had a rough start to her life.

Lisa is GREAT! ... She was great and I am sure we will have her come back soon for a visit as we get more comfortable with the idea of exposing Bruce to the park and other dogs. Thank you! - Kelly H. - April 2010

Bark Busters has taught us that we are in charge of our dog and not him of us. It is ... a step by step process compared to other methods but as results start appearing we can visualize the delight our dog will turn out to be. The constant treats will no longer be necessary just our cues! - Chantal G. - April 2010

I had been living with an anxious, hyperactive standard schnauzer for over a year before I discovered Bark Busters. Having had the baseboards of my apartment chewed and the front door scratched to bits, countless cushions torn apart, and having gone through one crate and several dog beds, what prompted me to finally get professional help for what I suspected was seperation anxiety was receiving a call from my building's property manager telling me that she had received two complaints about my dog barking while I was out - the only time I left the apartment forgetting to put on his citronella bark collar. I was frustrated and anxious because I felt that after having done my own research and taken several measures to "treat" his seperation anxiety myself, Oscar should be a well-behaved dog.

Lisa came over to my apartment on Sunday morning, and immediately identified Oscar as being "passively dominant", and yes - having seperation anxiety. HE was the boss - he was bringing me toys and ordering me to play with him, banging his food and water bowls on the floor and ordering me to fill them, pawing me and whining when he wanted attention - he had trained me to cater to his every whim!

During our 3-hour session, I learned the magic of "Bah!". To my surprise, Oscar responded! He was exhausted after our training session...and hasn't barked at a passing neighbour, jumped on me, pulled on his leash or rushed the door since. He was even completely quiet in his new (right sized!) crate for a full 15 minutes the same day he received the training. And chose to sleep in his crate that night!

I was at my wit's end when I decided to give Bark Busters a try. My mother had been reading a book on dog behaviour, and had told me that Oscar's behaviour problems couldn't be corrected. I was spending a fortune on doggy daycare, and couldn't enjoy a night out for fear of what Oscar was doing at home. I was convinced he would need medication. After only 3 hours of training and 24 hours of practice, the change in my formerly anxious dog is remarkable. I'm convinced that he will be completely changed and "normal" with consistent application of the Bark Busters techniques.

Thanks to Lisa for her clarity and patience.

I called Bark Buster's after one bad experience with a trainer and some research. I was impressed with their guarantee and professionalism. After the first visit with our trainer, Lisa, there was a radical change over our puppy. She went from rambunctious to responsive. The follow-up that Lisa has offered us has been great. We look forward to the maturation of our puppy with her help.

Our small dog of 9 years was acting aggressively to our children’s friends — growling and even nipping at anyone who came close. After one session with Lisa he was completely transformed. She explained to us that we were sending confusing signals about his role in our “pack” and that his aggressive behavior was because he thought it was his responsibility to protect us. With a few simple techniques (and some diligence on our part to be consistent in how we implement them) we now have a dog who is much more relaxed, happy and well behaved. If only we had called her sooner! Lisa’s willingness to make house calls on weekends and outside of regular work hours is also greatly appreciated. I’d recommend her services to anyone. - Jamie W. - November 2009

Hi Lisa...Over the past two and a half years of his young life I have attempted to resolve the problems (with my dog Oscar) by myself by reading books, watching tv shows and even attending puppy training classes, all to no avail. Last week I reached my limit and called my mother in tears when I was embarrassed by my dog's behaviour at the dog park. She suggested that I contact Bark Busters as she was working with someone in Ottawa who was signing his own dog up for Bark Busters in Ottawa. I reviewed your website and called right away to find out more. I was lucky enough to be put into contact with you and your flexible schedule allowed you to see us just the very next week!

At first I was aprehensive, I honestly didn't believe that I could get my little 'terror' to ever listen to me! I was at my wits end and was ready to give up. I did not realize the extent of his problems until we allowed him to demonstrate them upon your initial visit to the apartment. At the begining of the session I realized that I was a fool to wait so long to get help. I believe that embarassment and the feeling that I had failed as a dog owner had prevented me from acting sooner. Within minutes of learning the correction command BAH and the techniques Bark Busters teaches I was a believer. Oscar was listening and looking to me for direction! By the end of the session I was motived and relieved that I could have a dog that I, as well as others, can enjoy. Thank you Lisa, for teaching me the skills I need to make this happen!...

(Now I have to ask myself) "Who is this dog and what have you done with my 'asshole' Oscar". I was in disbelief! The exit (from his crate in the morning) was a success and so was the entire morning.

I took him for an hour walk. Oh boy it was slow at first, stopping a billion times and I had to use the 'training pillow' a few times (probably could have used it a tad more, but again practice makes perfect). It was an exceptional walk! He even saw a squirel and just sat by my side watching it. I know he so badly wanted to pounce and be that one dog in history that catches one, but no he was listening to me!...

I want to thank you again and again and again for coming to help me!

Lisa - Thanks again for yesterday. The session was very enlightening and Jim and I were talking about it all day! ... Hallowe'en nightmares were mitigated by giving dogs bones in their beds, that was a good call on your part...

Kelly and Regis LOVE bark busters and their trainer lisa!
We did the exercises this afternoon, he is wiped out!!! Funny how a
little thinking can tire him out so much...I LOVE IT!!!

Thanks again, Kelly - November 2009

Bark busters was an amazing help with our dog. After just one visit I saw a significant improvement in my dogs behavior. I even saw an improvement in his behavior with the more significant problems that we were having with him- problems that other dog trainers had failed to fix in the past. The results from Bark Busters far exceeded our expectations!! - Lisa C. - October 2009
