We are very pleased with the service provided by dog behavioral therapists, Annette and Greg. They are very knowledgeable and caring instructors. Within the first week of adopting Molson, a 10 week boxer mix, from a local animal shelter, it became apparent to us why Molson had had numerous homes. Molson was underweight and demonstrated undesirable behaviors such as separation anxiety and biting. Given Molson's condition and being first time dog owners, we wanted to ensure a good and healthy home for Molson, so we contacted Bark Busters and met with Annette and Greg the very next day in the convenience of our own home. Results were immediate and Molson has since progressed very well. Instructions provided by Annette and Greg are clearly communicated and "homework" is easy to incorporate in our daily activities. Molson's improved behavior is greatly due to the techniques and support provided by Annette and Greg. They have taught us to be calm and assertive pack leaders which in turn has improved Molson's behavior. On March 13, 2010 an Angel named Annette James Parsons, walked through our door and basically saved the lives of two of our dearly loved family members.

They are:



Sharlee, who is our 20 month old pitbull/lab mix - who was the very aggressive door greeter, and jumper. She’s not a mean/nasty dog by any means, but she jumped on and nipped at everyone who came to the house looking for attention, to the point that no one wanted to come visit us anymore. The final straw was when she nipped one of my boys' friends who came for a birthday party. At this point it was calling Bark Busters to help us or have her put down. We noticed a positive difference in her the very first session. Annette was amazing. She not only educated Sharlee, but she educated us on how to continue the training when she was not here. That meant continuous homework. Sharlee is still having some issues with the front door but has come a very long ways. My parents, who just wanted the death sentence for her, since we brought her home, due to the fact that she’s part pitbull, have commented that Bark Busters was money well spent. They couldn’t believe the difference in her in this short amount of time.

Chloe is our fear aggressive, 1 year old chocolate lab/shepherd mix. She barks non-stop at anything and everything. It got to be quite annoying. Then she started getting possessive of me to the point that my boys couldn't come to give me a hug or to just approach me. Annette has shown me way to stop her barking (not entirely yet), and take control. Chloe was injured as a 5 week old puppy and could possibly have suffered some brain damage, so Annette is trying a different approach with her. We'll get the same results, but have to take a more round about approach to get there. But she's determined that Chloe can find her calm and quiet self. Again, that meant more continuous homework.

I cannot say enough good things about my trainer. As I said before, she's an Angel. Had Annette not come into our home, I truly believe that eventually disaster would have come about and we would have been made to destroy Sharlee and quite possibly Chloe too.

Just checking in with you and letting you know the progress with Lucy. we have made some great strides since you last saw us.… I now take her to the dog park for socialization, and its working really well. The other thing, I have done is enroll her in a local group training, mainly for more socialization, and some form of activity in the winter. A  CHRISTMAS  STORY

Meet Gus a wonderful client of mine here in New Brunswick. Here are a few words from his Mom describing the picture. 'At the time this picture was taken there was a squirrel hanging off of our bird feeder on the veranda, but, even with that distraction, I was able to get Gus to ignore the squirrel and to sit, stay and pose with his 'friends'.

Molly, my 7 year old Golden Retriever, had a few bad habits I no longer wanted to live with. I happened by chance to find your website on my computer & sent an e-mail to Annette, who fortunately lived in my area. We set up an appointment & she arrived. She has such a calm, assertive manner that Molly accepted her right away. Molly is very persistent so it took a few sessions but I have seen great progress & now I don’t mind people arriving at my door. Thank you so much Annette.

Hey Annette - I thought I would give you an update on how Harley and I are makng out. First off I'm very sorry to hear about your loss this winter, I'm sure that was very hard.

So since your last visit I've been working very hard with Harley on the leash. He's still not perfect but has come a very long way and we really enjoy our walks together. We've also been going back to our spot on the beach where we first started and I would get upset cause Harley would run away. Well, I don't know what happened, but we have successfully been going to the beach, Harley off leash, and he's great!! He comes when he's called he waits for me and when theres other dogs around he waits for me to tell him it's okay to play. I know, I'm also shocked!! I really don't know when we got that bond but it's been getting better everyday and I can't tell you how happy I am. Even when he gets off his leash at home I can usually call him to me! It's not always perfect, he still has a bit of a stubborn streak, but it's sooo much better. Once again, I can't thank you enough. - Erin R - July 2008

I don’t know how to possibly thank Bark Busters enough for what you did for my dog, Ginny! Before Bark Busters came to the rescue, my one-year-old Pekingese, Ginny, had a Dr. Jekyll, Mr. Hyde personality. She would be a sweet and cuddly puppy with people she knew, but she would become a snarling, snapping monster with new people. After taking her to visit our family in Toronto, we knew we had a serious problem on our hands. I contacted numerous obedience schools, and they all told me the same thing, that they did not work with dogs that have behaviour problems like Ginny's. It is amazing what Bark Busters can do for you and your dog in just a couple of hours, if you follow their instructions. My dog, Cho Rong was always barking whenever she saw other dogs and people which caused much stress on myself and my wife. Because of her frequent barking, we were afraid to have her outside even if we wished to have her outside with us together. However, after having a lesson from Bark Busters my dog has changed dramatically. It is most surprising and impressive! Now, after just a week of training we do not have any stress or troubles with barking since Cho Rong is quiet and very comfortable when she sees other dogs or strangers.
