I like the approach Bark Busters takes in explaining dog behaviour. It was simple and easy to understand. Jason is a great trainer. He had a ton of patience and really helped us set up scenarios to train Sophie. Most of the training was to help us deal with Sophie's fear/reaction towards children and we noticed a HUGE improvement in her since, actually by the following weekend Sophie was great (kids were able to pick her up great). We've really applied everything Jason taught us and we're close to having the perfect dogs we've always wanted. I've even noticed that our dogs seem happier since the training, they're way more relaxed and laid back, in the house and out. Jason was great. Shelby only had a few behaviour issues that we needed to work on but since one of them was growling/snapping we needed to correct it. We were able to replicate the behaviour while Jason was here so he showed us the appropriate corrective techniques. He was patient and didn't try to rush through the lessons. We replicated the behaviour continuously while Jason was here so he could verify that we were correctly applying the techniques. Since Shelby is a rescued dog, we don't know about his previous traumatic experiences; correcting him properly was important.

Prior to Jason's arrival Shelby was also afraid on a leash and would cower. During the visit Jason gradually introduced leashing so that Shelby could become comfortable with it and within a short period of time Shelby was walking outside with the leash on as though it was his everyday routine. We continue to work with him using the techniques we learned. He is soooo much better and continues to improve. Having been with us for 6 weeks now he has come to realize that this is a safe place for him. He loves to cuddle and give us kisses and is a much happier dog.

The barking stopped almost immediately - it was as if we'd finally found the off switch! The dogs still react to certain triggers with barking, but I can stop them almost instantaneously. We have a much calmer, stress-free house now. An added bonus was that one of the dogs has stopped pulling completely when we're out on walks - the other one is a bit more stubborn and we have some more work to do with her, but again she has improved significantly. Our family is so happy with Jason's expertise and the co. guidelines. Kooper has been adjusting very well, some days better than others. but a great improvement. My level of confidence has increased and my husband and I are on the same page! The biggest thing is we never let Kooper win a challenge, we always correct. Even if it takes an extra 5 min. to get there, he gets it in the end. His level of respect to our whole family is substantial, he doesn't mouth when playing with our oldest son and is not taking baby toys as often. Our guests (family and friends) notice a big difference, and comply with our training techniques when entering our home.
